the f/v martha rose

The F/V Martha Rose is a traditional 77 foot steel scallop boat based in Menemsha.  She is locally owned. Wes Brighton of Chilmark, an experienced Martha's Vineyard commercial fisherman, is her captain. 

Our scallops are harvested in several areas of the Atlantic Ocean south of the island.  Scalloping is a highly regulated fishery with strict Federal annual catch limits set to ensure the sustainability of the fishery.
